BC3 Kickoff

"I hate these damn single-member districts - I've never worked so hard in my life!"
- Baltimore City Council Member - February 2006

What does "Neighborhoods First" have in common with "The Greatest City in America" or "The City that Reads"?

You got it - pure propaganda designed to make the natives think we're happy! When it comes to our politicians' response to developers and other special interests, we all know it is really "Neighborhoods Last". The only way to begin to make these slogans true, is for the over 700 community groups of Baltimore to band together and demand accountability of our elected officials.

Time and time again, Baltimore's voices stand alone and are ignored in favor more powerful interests. But what if we all spoke with one voice?! This blog is intended to be a forum for our communities to come together, independent of any particular elected official's vision or political spin.
So how do we make the BC3 (Baltimore City Community Coalition) happen?
